Dr Hari Simran Singh Khalsa, D.C. (also known as DrYogi) has been teaching Kundalini Yoga and Mediation for over 30 years, and has been practicing Chiropractic since 1994. He is a Senior Teacher and a Lead Teacher Trainer for KRI Kundalini Yoga Levels 1 and 2.
He finished his undergraduate studies in the 1980s and attended Life West Chiropractic College from 1990-1993. He graduated with the Clinical excellence citation award and returned to Arizona where he started his Chiropractic practice. He is a registered Yoga Teacher at the 500 Hour Level.
DrYogi has done significant work bringing the technology of Kundalini Yoga and Meditation to the communities that need it, and has also been actively involved in the yoga community in various leadership roles. For many years, he taught yoga and meditation in prisons. He was involved with the Arizona InterFaith Movement, and the Arizona Yoga Association. He was the president of 3HO of Arizona (the regional branch of 3HO, the global Kundalini Yoga organization) for over 10 years. He is a member of the 3HO Int’l Board of Directors and the KRI (Kundalini Research Institute) Advisory Board.
Dr Khalsa is also heavily involved in the chiropractic community. He is a member of the Khalsa Chiropractic Association and the International Chiropractic Association. Dr Khalsa has brought chiropractic care to Inmates at San Quentin State Prison. He is a Co-founder of The Elevation Institute and a faculty member at Life Chiropractic College West.
His teaching credentials include having taught in the Master’s Touch Program with Yogi Bhajan and the Self Mastery program at the Omega Institute. He participated in designing the Level 1, 2 and 3 KRI Teacher Training. He has offered the 3HO Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training program in Phoenix, AZ as well as the San Francisco Bay Area. He travels internationally teaching in the KRI Teacher Training Programs.
In addition to teaching Kundalini Yoga, Dr Khalsa also plays the gong and has recorded 2 Gong CDs. Yogi Bhajan personally listened to Dr Khalsa’s gong CD to approve it to be granted the KRI Seal of Approval.
Dr Khalsa also travels teaching Sat Nam Rasayan, the ancient healing art of Kundalini Yoga.
Dr Khalsa is grateful for the opportunity to have worked directly with Yogi Bhajan (the teacher who brought Kundalini Yoga to the West in the late 1960′s) frequently during his life.
He is married to Sat Rattan Kaur. Together they lead the East Bay Teacher Training programs, and have been mentors to hundreds of new Kundalini Yoga teachers and students, and pillars of the Bay Area Kundalini Yoga community.
